Session II: This class is dedicated to encouraging and supporting tweens and teens to take care of themselves both mentally and physically. We build inner and outer strength, flexibility and balance through traditional yoga postures. Yoga is an excellent compliment to any physical activity and helps to prevent sports related injuries. Through breathwork, mindfulness, stress reduction, compassion and self-awareness is taught. Tween/Teen yoga is taught in a safe, noncompetitive, peer supported, nurturing environment. Along with individual practice, group and partner work is also introduced. Ages 11 yrs and up Instructor: Minda Devorkin. Location: Teva Yoga Studio.

Youth Strength Training Class

Session II: The JCC's Youth Strength Training program is for members ages 12-14 who are interested in learning how to use the cardio and strength train machines under the knowledge and guidance of one of our nationally certified personal trainers. After completion of this course, kids will be able to use the fitness center on their own. Learn the basics of a workout and the benefits of exercise. MEMBERS ONLY Ages 12-14 yrs. Instructor: TBD. The Parkinson's Dance Class

This dance class, originally designed for people in the Parkinson's community, is open to anyone seeking lifelong comfort and ease in their body movements. Feel better; function more efficiently and enjoy life more fully! Feel the beat of varied music as you improve coordination, balance and posture. Restore confidence in your body. Discover your creativity in motion. All abilities and fitness levels are welcome. Options include dancing in a chair, standing and moving across the floor.
