Session 2 Parkinson's Treadmill and Strength Class

Mon, Thu 1:30 PM-2:30 PM
Treadmill walking and strength for longevity. This exercise class is geared towards individuals with Parkinson Disease (PD) and is led by a physical therapist and personal trainer. The hour-long class is split into two half-hour sessions. 30 minutes are spent walking on a treadmill (sometimes backwards) and 30 minutes working on strength and flexibility with a focus on trunk mobility. The theory behind this program is that improved trunk mobility combined with an aerobic conditioning program should lead to improvement of functional activities used in everyday life. Clients in all stages of the disease are welcome, as well as new participants.
