Shoshanah Bruesewitz, Interfaith Family Coordinator
Shoshanah Bruesewitz joined the Harry & Rose Samson Family Jewish Community Center Parenting Center staff in September 2007 as the Interfaith Family Coordinator. Shoshanah is a native of Milwaukee’s North Shore, growing up in Shorewood and Whitefish Bay. She graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee with a master’s degree in social work in 2001. Before joining the JCC, she worked for 6 years with at risk children and families in the city of Milwaukee. She is a busy mother of two children, Amelia 4 years old, and Noah 18 months. Shoshanah’s husband was raised Christian and she is now raising her children in an interfaith home. Shoshanah is currently running a class called Mother’s Circle on Sunday afternoons, which is designed to help non Jewish woman who are raising Jewish children incorporate Jewish tradition into their homes.
Dana Emold, Jewish Outreach and Interfaith Coordinator
As the Jewish Outreach and Interfaith Coordinator, Dana reaches out to Jewish and Interfaith families to try to welcome them back and make them aware of the various programs available to them both at the JCC as well as the community at large. Beach Party Havdallah, Family Fun Nights, Movie Nights, Expo’s and Dance Parties all are a part of Dana’s job, in planning family friendly events. She also organizes public space events, such as at Bayshore Town Center and local grocery stores as a way to bring Judaism out to where the people are. Dana attended high school in Milwaukee, and then received her B.S. from the University of Minnesota. Dana is married to Steve Emold and they have one child, Jake, born December 2004.
