In her role as Community Service Director Dorene oversees the Jewish Community Pantry which is part of the Emergency Pantry Network of the Hunger Task Force and is in charge of the important Yamim events including Yom Hashoah, Yom Hazikaron and Yom Ha'atzmaut. For over twenty years Dorene has worked for the Milwaukee JCC planning many community events including the annual Jewish Book & Culture Fair which brings contemporary authors and cultural pesenters to Milwaukee and provides education and entertainment for community on many levels.
