Rachel is the Director of Gan Ami in Whitefish Bay and has been with the Harry and Rose Samson Family JCC over 13 years. During her time at the JCC she not only has been our Assistant Director of Gan Ami, but has been a classroom teacher in our three year old program, a classroom teacher in our Kindergarten program and even served as our Children and Youth Director. Before returning to the Harry and Rose Samson Family JCC in 1996, Rachel worked for the JCC's of Chicago as a preschool teacher and Assistant Director of Me and My Dad. Rachel has a B.S. from Cardinal Stritch University in Early Childhood Education and a minor in child psychology. Rachel's goal for an early childhood program has always been to create a program where no other preschool can match our combination of caring, experience, dedication and expertise. We start with enthusiastic teachers who love children and love to teach; then we provide them with extensive training and continuing education. Our team of educators is always adding new curricula based on the latest research — all to ensure that your child is having the best possible learning experience. When you don't see Rachel at the JCC you'll find her enjoying her family and outdoor activities.
