Rabbi Shari Shamah is the Jewish Family Specialist at the Harry and Rose Samson Family JCC.  She joined the staff in August of 2007 and is thrilled to be a part of the JCC community. Being the Jewish Family Specialist allows Rabbi Shamah to get to know many different departments and people at the JCC. From Gan Ami Preschool to the Family and Children's Center, to Rainbow, Interlaken and more, Rabbi Shamah's concentration is on young families. Also, part of this position is devoted to synagogues to serve as a resource for their young family programming as well.

Rabbi Shamah was ordained in 2000 by the Hebrew Union College - Jewish Institute of Religion. In addition, she holds a Master of Arts degree in Hebrew Letters (MAHL). She has an undergraduate degree from Michigan State University , a dual degree in Psychology and Communit Relations with an additional certificate in Jewish Studies.

Shari and her husband Corey have two children Haley and Eitan whose smiling faces can be seen in Gan Ami and the JCC'c after school programs.
