Katie is an AFAA-certified Personal Trainer. She also holds a degree in Journalism from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, and is currently attending graduate school for elementary education. Katie is also a group fitness instructor, and has been teaching indoor cycling classes, water aerobics and kickboxing since 2007. While she enjoys the high energy of group fitness, she also loves to work with people one on one.
Katie is passionate about fitness and living a healthy lifestyle. Growing up in Minnesota, she battled weight issues throughout childhood and adolescence. Her road to health began as a teenager when she joined the high school tennis team and started going to group fitness classes with her mom. That journey has continued and today Katie enjoys staying active, participating in triathlons, marathons and half-marathons. She believes that committing to exercise and practicing mindful eating habits can be a way of life for anyone. Katie’s goal as a personal trainer is to help clients find a healthy lifestyle that works for them!
Outside of the gym, Katie enjoys hiking, biking, cooking, reading, and taking walks in her Glendale neighborhood with her husband, Chris.
