Hezbollah – Meet author, Thanassis Cambanis, who will present his book, “A Privilege to Die: Inside Hezbollah’s Legions and Their Endless War Against Israel” on Tuesday, November 30th at 7 pm. In this first detailed look, we learn that it is Hezbollah’s millions of foot soldiers that have made it the premier force of danger to Israel and the west. As an urgent and important exploration of militancy in the Middle East, this should be required reading for anyone looking to fully understand the grave threat Hezbollah poses.
Thanasis Cambanis covered the Middle East and Iraq as bureau chief for The Boston Globe, covered the Arab world on assignment for The New York Times. He teaches journalism and foreign policy at Columbia University’s School of International and Public Affairs.
