Details: Details: "A Loaf of Bread, A Jug of Wine and . . . a Menu of Jewish Tastes" JCC to Offer A National Food Curriculum As a part of %u201CJewish Journeys,%u201D a new national curriculum initiative created by the New York-based Jewish Community Centers Association, the Harry & Rose Samson Family Jewish Community Center, Milwaukee, WI, will be offering a new and innovative class experience: %u201CA Loaf of Bread, A Jug of Wine and . . . a Menu of Jewish Tastes.%u201D This multi-faceted gastronomic approach to understanding Jewish history, Jewish life, and Jewish tradition through food will, of course, include actual food! It will be offered in two different sections. Series A for Jewish parents, or those who will one day be parents, will be taught by Rabbi Shari Shamah, Jewish Family Specialist. Series B for any adults will be taught by Jody Hirsh, Judaic Education Director. Both series will culminate in a shared wine tasting which will explore the tastes and traditions of wine. The wine tasting will be open to anyone, even if they are not enrolled in the other parts of the class. Series A: for Parents Mondays, May 5 and 12, 7:30 %u2013 8:30 pm, and Wednesday, June 4, 7:30 %u2013 9:00 pm.
