Adult Programs
The Milwaukee Jewish Artists LabThe Harry & Rose Samson Jewish Community Center, Milwaukee, along with the Sabes JCC, Minneapolis, and University of Wisconsin Hillel, Madison, Wisconsin, are addressing the need to broaden the impact of the arts in helping Jewish artists as well as Jews in the regional Jewish Community at large to find meaning, community, identity and spirituality through the arts. For many Jews, the traditional approaches to Jewish life are no longer meaningful, and the arts can serve as a common denominator among Jews regardless of their degree of belief, cultural literacy or religious affiliation. In addition, as a result of the current economic climate, there is an increasing need for institutions like ours to form partnerships across geographical and institutional lines. During the 2011/2012 program year, this project will unfold in Milwaukee alone, and will expand to Madison and Minneapolis in the following years.

YJAM-Young Jewish Adults of Milwaukee is jointly sponsored by Hillel Foundation-Milwaukee and the JCC. This group offers activities for young Jewish adults in their 20s & 30s.

Off CenterOFF CENTER - Quality Adult Education throughout the North Shore

THE MEN'S CLUBA stimulating club for active older men. Meetings are held on Tuesdays at the JCC, featuring a different program each week. A noon lox lunch is served once a month for members and their guests.

The word KOACH means strength in Hebrew, The widely popular adult program brings together everyone from Milwaukee area newcomers, to semi-retired and retirees, to members of synagogues, and the Harry & Rose Samson Family Jewish Community Center.

Dorene Paley BioIn her role as Community Service Director Dorene oversees the Jewish Community Pantry which is part of the Emergency Pantry Network of the Hunger Task Force and is in charge of the important Yamim events including Yom Hashoah, Yom Hazikaron and Yom Ha'atzmaut.
