Sherwood Temkin 1st/2nd Winter Madness Basketball

This league focuses on skill development, teamwork and most of all fun! These are instruction leagues with modified rules. League is set up with first 2 weeks of program as practices and last 8 weeks with game play. The league will use appropriate rim heights and balls to ensure that all athletes get the most out of their experience. Participants will receive on-court instruction from our officials in a game setting as well as team t-shirts. The JCC will randomly assign teams and volunteer will help teach the participants. All games and practices will be 5o minutes in length and be held at the JCC Marcus Gym or the MJDS Field House. Join us for Winter Madness and score big on fun. Times are 12:30pm, 1:30pm, and 2:30pm.

Youth Strength Training

This program is for members ages 12-14 who are interested in working out on the fitness floor. This three part class is taught by one of the personal traininers. You will learn the basic components of a workout, major muscles of the body and proper use of the cardio and strength equipment. Youth under the age of 14 (older than 12) must take this class in order to workout on the fitness floor.
