Join us for this unique Tapestry performance as we host the Fine Arts Quartet at the JCC, a part of our Summer Music Series. The world-famous Fine Arts Quartet, formerly at UWM, returns to Milwaukee for a four-event Festival, closing with this concert at the JCC. Distinguished Israeli pianist, Alon Goldstein, and New York bassist, Lizzie Burns, join the Quartet for two Mozart piano concertos, nos.19 and 25 as newly rediscovered chamber music reductions of the orchestral scores. The transcriptions by Ignaz Lachner offer an intimate perspective on these gloriously melodious masterpieces. Alon has collaborated with the Fine Arts Quartet on two Naxos recordings of these transcriptions, to be followed by the third CD of the two concertos from this concert.

The Festival is sponsored by The Friends of the Fine Arts Quartet and supported by community donations. Interested in other Fine Arts Quartet Festival events? Click here for further detail.
