How does the Jewish tradition understand what it means to be masculine or feminine? Does Judaism see gender as binary, a spectrum, or something else entirely? Explore these questions and more with Rabbi Abby Phelps, who will help to guide our exploration of gender in Jewish scriptural, rabbinic, and contemporary texts.

Rabbi Abby Phelps served for four years as the rabbi educator for Congregation Sherith Israel in San Francisco, CA, before relocating to Milwaukee. She specializes in teaching about the intersection of Jewish thought and contemporary ethical challenges.
