We like to think every event at the JCC is special, and that each program, class, and member visit is an event onto itself! But over the course of the year, we’re proud to host, produce, and welcome guests to a number of milestone events that give special a whole new meaning.
Laugh It Up Milwaukeeis a celebration of partnership and a community coming together in humor to address causes that affect us all. Past beneficiaries and partner agencies of Laugh It Up Milwaukee include Gilda's Club (2012), Children's Hospital of Southeastern Wisconsin (2013), the MACC Fund (2014), and Hunger Task Force (2015), featured performances from comedians Seth Meyers, Susie Essman & Richard Lewis, Martin Short, and Howie Mandel.
Each May, taste buds across Southeastern Wisconsin come alive as the JCC celebrates KidShare, a fundraising event. The area’s finest restaurants, chefs, bakers, and caterers come together at the Pfister Hotel to raise scholarship funds for the JCC’s many educational and camp programs. With over 40 delicious food stations, live and silent auctions, and a fantastic crowd from across the region – KidShare is one of the most anticipated charity events on the Milwaukee social calendar.
In fall, we proudly present the Jewish Film Festival, a multi-day festival celebrating the finest in Jewish films and filmmaking. The Jewish Film Festival is an audience favorite, featuring a wide variety of international films, subjects, and themes speaking to our traditions and relevant to our modern day experiences.
We know our center does not exist without the support of our members, and while we make our member appreciation apparent with each visit to the JCC – a few events each year exist strictly to make that appreciation abundantly clear. Join us for our Annual Corn Roast at the JCC Water Park at the end of each summer season, and mark your calendars for our Member Appreciation Pancake Breakfast at the end of December. Don’t forget to keep your eyes open for special joining offers and member referral specials throughout the year.
