JCC Member Update

JCC Members,

When we announced this year’s closure of the Peck Aquatic Center for our annual summer maintenance, we shared that the work would include installation of a new UV filtration system and had built what was deemed to be the appropriate amount of extra time into our timeline in case there were any unexpected delays. The original understanding from the contractors and our partners at the Milwaukee Jewish Federation was that the pool would be ready to reopen the week of September 5-10. It has recently become clear that the initial timeline is no longer feasible due to supply chain delays and other unexpected issues beyond our control.

One of the final steps in the process is now scheduled to be completed on Monday, September 11, and we expect to reopen the Peck Aquatic Center at 5:00 AM on Tuesday, September 12.

Our aquatics and facilities teams have been exploring all options to provide the best possible member experience during this brief extended closure, so that we can share it with you – our valued members – in advance of the holiday weekend.

Please review the detailed schedule below to find alternate arrangements that will give our members approximately 35 hours of aquatics access throughout the week. Lap swim times listed below are for members 18+.

Families registered for Fall Session 1 swim lessons, please look for a direct communication in your inbox that will address how this unexpected change may affect your child’s upcoming lesson schedule.

JCC Water Park in Mequon
We are grateful to the City of Mequon, and our alderperson, Brian Parrish, for extending our conditional use agreement to allow for use of the park beyond Labor Day to accommodate the needs of our adult lap swimmers.

Labor Day Weekend • Saturday – Monday

  • Open 10:30 AM – 6:30 PM for all members
  • One lap lane available during regular open hours

Tuesday, September 5 – Monday, September 11

  • Adult Lap Swim ONLY – Tuesday & Thursday 12:00-4:00 PM
  • Adult Lap Swim ONLY – Wednesday, Friday & Monday 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM
  • Aqua Deep group exercise class – Thursday 10:30-11:30 AM
  • Dog Swim scheduled for Sept 7 has been cancelled.

Whitefish Bay High School Pool
Members must show a JCC key fob and photo ID to gain access.

Tuesday, September 5 – Monday, September 11

  • Monday-Friday 6:00-7:30 AM
  • Monday-Thursday 7:00-8:30 PM
  • Saturday & Sundays 12:00-1:30 PM
