JCC West Entrance Closure Update

Effective Monday, November 1, 2021, the Marcus Pavilion (West) Entrance on the Karl Community Campus will return to use as a JCC staff entrance only. In recent months, we have noted that JCC Members and Community class participants make up less than 10% of the current usage at this entrance. During a time that we have also been unable to fill 5 open customer service positions, this closure makes the most sense to ensure all visitors to our facility receive the attention they deserve.

Suggested entrances beginning Monday, November 1:

Peck (North) Entrance

  • JCC Members
  • Fitness class participants
  • Recreation class participants
  • Aquatics class participants
  • Froedtert/MCW clients
  • Kids Center drop off/pick up

Soref (South) Entrance

  • Kids Center drop off/pick up
  • Gan Ami Whitefish Bay drop off/pick up

Gan Ami Garden Level (South) Entrance

  • Gan Ami Whitefish Bay drop off/pick up

Exceptions:

JCC Staff planning meetings and programs located in the Daniel M. Soref Community Hall, Glazer Family Board Room, Surlow Promenade, and other spaces on the West side of our facility, will indicate to registered participants which entrance is preferred. For many scheduled programs in these spaces, program leaders will be able to arrange for special staffing of the Marcus (West) Entrance to provide access for their program participants.

 

If you have been instructed to use the Marcus (West) Entrance for a program, and are unable to open the door, please call 414-964-4444 and ask for the staff member coordinating the program.

 

This closure will be in effect for the remainder of 2021, at which time our teams will re-evaluate, as needed.
