When words aren't enough

The visual arts aren’t just decoration. They’re history and future, past and present, dialogue and action, knowledge and wisdom

We know that Jewish culture and arts are the common denominator of the Jewish people, and the backbone of a Jewish community. The arts tie us together, provoke us, help us express ourselves.

The arts build community.

From the stunning ritual art of Jewish communities to contemporary Jewish artists finding their own niche in today’s modern world, art has enriched us. With art from the Jewish Artists Laboratory, as well as from other Jewish artists here and internationally, there’s so much to see at the J.

From our seasonal exhibits in the Surlowe Promenade in the Marcus Pavilion, to special seminars and speakers, the visual arts don’t just hang on a wall at the JCC – they come alive, invigorate us, and bring us together.
