The click of the tiles mixed with the voices of players calling – 6 bam, 5 crack, flower – fills the air. It must be Monday at the JCC. Time for Mah jonng!

Mah Jongg (or Maj, as it is often called) is a fascinating, rummy-like game played with tiles rather than cards. Each week, the tables are set up, the snacks are put out, and the community is invited for friendly and non-competitive open mah jongg. Coaching is even available with our on-site Mah Jongg Maven.
