A time to celebrate, remember, and gather

The Jewish calendar is rich with variety and meaning. For thousands of years, our community has come together – across the world and over divides – to celebrate moments of joy, mourn times of loss, and remember the where we’ve come from and where we’re going.

The JCC serves as a destination for a number of community celebrations, events, and programs throughout the holiday season. In partnership with local agencies, synagogues, and experts, we build an annual calendar that includes:

  • Community-Wide Hanukkah Celebration
  • Yom HaShoah Commemoration
  • Yom HaZakiron Remembrance
  • Yom HaAtzmaut Celebration

Throughout the year, we’ll offer unique programs to educate and experience Rosh Hashanah, Yom Kippur, Sukkot, Slichot, Purim, and Shavuot. Both in our classrooms for formal education and in our hallways for more informal learning – you’ll discover that the J is a destination for living Jewish life and traditions.

And, of course, we deeply celebrate Shabbat – the holy day of rest. You’ll notice that we close before sundown on Fridays, as part of our tradition and to ensure that our families have the opportunity to rest, recover, and observe in their own way.
