Laura Emir is a fundraiser and nonprofit leader with over 20 years of experience and has worked with diverse organizations such as IndependenceFirst, The AIDS Resource Center of Wisconsin, Planned Parenthood of Wisconsin, the ACLU of Wisconsin, and the Women’s Fund of Greater Milwaukee.

Originally from the Chicago area, Laura attended Northern Illinois University earning a BA in English with a minor in History. She serves on the board of the Jewish Community Relations Council, where she chairs the Public Policy committee, is a founding member of the Muslim Jewish and Latino Jewish Alliances, a trustee for Glendale River Hills School District Foundation, the board of Congregation Emanuel B’ne Jeshurun, and is a new board member of Pathfinders Milwaukee. Laura is also an avid chef who loves to cook and spend time with her family: husband Mustafa, son Jem, daughter Leila, and Portuguese Water Dog Skipper.
