Tapestry: Arts & Ideas

Welcome to TAPESTRY: Tapestry is the JCC Arts and Ideas initiative, now in its third year. “Why the arts?” you might ask. The arts bring meaning, elevate knowledge, speak to our hearts, strengthen Jewish identity and identity in general, channel our memories, speak to our values, and help us discover the wonders of the universe. Tapestry is at the center of our JCC mission to enrich the quality of Jewish life in Milwaukee.

Films at the JCC - Explore Jewish films on a large screen in an informal classroom setting and participate in educational discussion and presentations with Milwaukee Jewish educators. This year’s programming includes some of the best new DVDs purchased in 2015 for the JCC Reading Room. The classes are FREE and open to the public. Enjoy films while learning about unique aspects of Jewish life with our instructors. Click here to learn more about all of our different Tapestry film opportunities.

Surlow Promenade: Spring Exhibits - Enjoy beuautiful artwork exhibits and their events in our Surlow Promenade. More information coming soon!

Concerts and Shows - a selection of performances for everyone!  More information coming soon!

Confronting Moral Dilemmas During the Holocaust - This year’s cluster of programming will focus on the thought-provoking issue of Moral Dilemmas, and is co-sponsored by the JCC and the Nathan and Esther Pelz Holocaust Education Resource Center. More information coming soon!
