Youth Humanitarian Project

Performing Mitzvot (good deeds) and giving Tzedakah (charity) are two important Jewish values that the JCC brings to life for our members through the Youth Humanitarian Project. This project offers a central resource for children ages 4-14 to give back to their community in a way that is meaningful to them.

Yom Huledet-Make Someone Else Sameach-taken from the Hebrew translation of “happy birthday” we’ve added the important idea of sharing the birthday joy. This program incorporates a child’s birthday celebration as an opportunity to give back in a way that engages and inspires that child to commit to a lifetime of performing “Mitzvot” and giving “Tzedakah.”

We are looking for young volunteers to help with the Community-wide Passover Food Drive. Help collect food from the collection sites or help count and sort food on Wednesday, April 2 at 3:45 PM at the JCC.
