As a destination for community, our goal is to Include everyone.
We are thrilled to offer swim lessons for individuals of all abilities, ensuring everyone in our community has access to learning about water safety and developing swim skills that last a lifetime.
Program Benefits
Adaptive lessons are designed for individuals ages 4-18 years old who identify as having a disability. are taught one-on-one with the instructor and focus on building comfort and proficiency in the water. Co-adaptive lessons (2 swimmers, siblings only) are also available.
Our Adaptive Aquatics instructors are certified Swim Whisperers through the Swim Angelfish Adaptive Swim training program. This certification program teaches instructors how to assess and identify roadblocks and how to implement strategies to overcome them.
The JCC has ASL-fluent swim instructors available within our standard group swim lesson setting. If your child requires this accommodation, please contact us prior to the start of lessons to check on staffing availability in your child’s swim level.
