FOREVER YOUNG, A Theatre Piece by Elisheva Scheuer
What is the meaning of life? How do we find fulfillment and purpose? Will we be remembered, and if so, how?
Actress and playwright Elisheva Scheuer explores these questions through her original verbatim theatre piece, Forever Young. Based on interviews with seven remarkable humans, the play offers a glimpse into each interviewee’s life, exploring their dreams, experiences, and reflections on love and loss. Ultimately, Forever Young is a collage of humanity – a testament to our never-ending search for clarity about what it means to live, to love, to grow, and to contemplate what comes next.
Runtime: 55 minutes, followed by a brief talkback.

About Elisheva Scheuer
Elisheva Scheuer is thrilled to share Forever Young with Milwaukee for the first time! She originally developed Forever Young for her honors senior thesis at the University of Minnesota, performed it during Freeplay Weekend Festival in February 2025, and remounted it five weeks later at Minnesota Hillel. A recent recipient of a Rimon Arts Fund grant, she is creating a new verbatim theatre piece centered on Jewish lives and stories. Elisheva is currently understudying Leah in Next Act Theatre’s production of Trayf – be sure to catch this heartwarming show through October 4th! Other credits include the Gray Mallard Theater Co. (Hamlet), Milwaukee Rep (Ghost Bike), and First Stage (Tinkerbell; Antarctica, WI). Upcoming: Dr. Seuss’s How the Grinch Stole Christmas! and School of Rock at Children’s Theatre Company in Minneapolis. Education: UMN/Guthrie BFA Acting
