Bonim Farms

Adults 18+ Albert & Ann Deshur JCC Rainbow Day Camp
Bonim Farms is a workforce readiness program that employs adults with disabilities to work as Farm Fellows at the Albert & Ann Deshur JCC Rainbow Day camp.

A Job. A Community. A Way to Give Back.

Bonim Farms employs adults with disabilities to work as Farm Fellows at the Albert & Ann Deshur JCC Rainbow Day Camp. Bonim is the Hebrew word for “Builders” and our farmers are continuously building opportunities for themselves and their community. Through work in maintaining the garden, harvesting and packaging produce & herbs, managing sales at farmers markets, and donating produce to feed the guests at the Jewish Community Pantry, our Farm Fellows are learning important life skills and giving back to their community.

Program Benefits

Farm Fellows learn more than just how to maintain gardens – they also learn important business skills like managing inventory, handling payments, and more.

These skills can be transferable to future job opportunities, and many of our Bonim Farm Fellows work elsewhere in the community as well.

Bonim Farms provides fresh, quality, seasonal produce, herbs, and spices to the Jewish Community Pantry year-round. Farmers also support the volunteers at the Pantry on select service days.

Every Wednesday from 3:00-4:00 pm, JCC members and community can shop at the Bonim Farms Farmers Market at the JCC adjacent to the Marcus Pavilion (West) entrance.

All Farm Fellows are offered bus transportation to work at the Albert & Ann Deshur JCC Rainbow Day Camp in Fredonia.
