Challah & Community

By JCC Milwaukee September 4, 2025
Adults and children sit at tables, shaping dough on foil with their hands, engaging in a baking or crafting activity together.

Parents and children can enjoy quality time together while learning the tradition of making challah. After the braiding fun, kids can stay and enjoy open play, giving the grownups time to connect, schmooze, and build community with other young families. Whether you’re a challah pro or tying it for the first time, this is the perfect mix of tradition, creativity, and play.
