Good Deeds Days

Built on the foundation of our Annual Passover Food Drive and guided by our shared Jewish values of Chesed (loving kindness), Tzedakah (righteous giving) and Tikkun Olam (repairing the world), we invite you to join a global movement of people who are dedicated to doing good March 22 – 29. This event brought to you by Tikkun Ha-Ir, Harry & Rose Samson Family Jewish Community Center, and Milwaukee Jewish Federation.

We are excited to bring Good Deeds Days back to Milwaukee for a second year – and we invite you to be a part of it. People of all ages are coming together to do good deeds and live out “Mitzvah Goreret Mitzvah”, One Good Deed Leads to Another. Join in for a week-long celebration of kindness, connection, and community!

Building on the foundation of the annual Community-Wide Passover Food Drive Distribution (Maot Chittim), Good Deeds Days 2026 will be a vibrant week of community-wide volunteering with opportunities for all-ages and abilities both at the JCC and throughout Milwaukee.

Good Deeds Day started in 2007 in Israel, and now millions of people and thousands of organizations from 115 countries unite annually to volunteer and #DoGood.

See full schedule below and use the register button to RSVP and select your volunteer opportunity.

Everyone can play a role in Good Deeds Day – whether you are volunteering on the day of the event, fulfilling a wishlist, donating to support our annual Passover Food Drive, or dropping off matzah for those in need.

The Passover Food Drive fulfills the mitzvah of Ma’ot Chittim so that everyone in our community can celebrate the holiday with the traditional festival foods.

If you, a friend, or family member is in need of Kosher food to celebrate Passover, please visit this link to request a bag.

Volunteer your time on Sunday, March 22 or throughout the week. Explore volunteer options for all ages and abilities.

Make a donation to help us purchase food for the Passover Food Drive. Donate online at link below or mail check payable to JCC Passover Food Drive to Harry & Rose Samson Family JCC, 6255 N Santa Monica Blvd, Whitefish Bay, WI 53217.

Join us in giving back—matzah drop-off boxes will be available March 8–24. Stay tuned for participating drop-off locations.

Support Good Deeds Days by buying donation items from our wishlists to be packaged during the March 22 volunteer opportunities.
