Community

It’s a diverse community, so it stands to reason that we’re a diverse community center.

The JCC is a destination for excellent programs and services, but it’s first and foremost a non-profit, social-services agency committed to serving the ever-changing needs of the entire community . In celebrating Jewish life and demonstrating inclusive values, the J is a place of welcoming at the center of so many lives, communities, and futures.

Beyond religion, race, background, ability and geography – the JCC is a space to explore new ideas, practice new activities, and discover new communities. We don’t ignore the differences between our community – Jewish or not, young or old, here or there – but celebrate them, understand them, and empower them to bring us closer to each other. Our members, guests, staff, and volunteers come together each day – sometimes for one class, sometimes for years to come – believing that we’re stronger together, supporting one another with shared values on a shared journey.

We're on this journey together

Our programs, services and facilities are a reflection of our commitment to our community. From the newborn learners in our Gan Ami early childhood education program to those who attend Tapestry events to expand their minds and horizons to the folks who just join for the fitness facilities and classes, there are myriad ways in which we serve as a place of gathering, celebration, and connection.

Gan Ami Early Childhood

From birth through preschool, this inclusive program grows curious, confident, life-long learners at campuses in Mequon and Whitefish Bay.
