Taste of Judaism
Curious about Judaism, looking to reconnect with your Jewish roots, or want to learn more about Jewish traditions and culture? Taste of Judaism is a six-month cohort that explores Jewish holidays, rituals, values, and life-cycle traditions.
This program is open to everyone, regardless of where you are in your Jewish journey. Whether you’re brand-new to Judaism, Jewish-adjacent, or have been part of the Jewish community for years, this is your opportunity to learn, ask questions, and connect with others – no prior knowledge required.
One-time cohort fee: JCC Members $18 • Community $22
Cohort meets one Wednesday each month from 12-1:30 PM.
All participants receive a free Jewish Home Toolkit.
Participants are welcome to attend the sessions that interest them most – you don’t have to attend every session to be part of the cohort.

What is Judaism, and what does it mean to be Jewish? We’ll talk about Jewish identity, values, beliefs, traditions, and the many ways people connection to Judaism.

Learn about Shabbat and some of the rituals and traditions that are part of Jewish home life, including blessings, food, and ways to celebrate together.

Explore Jewish music and songs, from traditional melodies to more modern music. We’ll talk about how music has been passed down through generations and become part of Jewish culture.

From welcoming a baby to marriage and remembrance, we’ll look at the Jewish traditions surrounding major moments in life and the role community plays in each one.
Jewish life looks different for everyone, and there’s no single way to experience it. We hope you’ll join us to learn more, share your perspective, and explore some of the traditions and ideas that bring Jewish communities together.
