Annual Aquatics Maintenance & Alternative Swim Options
Each year, the JCC performs essential maintenance on the Peck Aquatic Center to ensure our pools remain clean, safe, and operating at the highest standards. This planned closure allows us to complete important updates with minimal disruption to your routine, and we appreciate your flexibility and understanding as we complete this work.
Peck Aquatic Center Closure Dates
- Closing: Friday, August 15 at 5:00 AM
- Reopening: Tuesday, September 2 at 5:00 AM
This timeframe aligns with a short seasonal break in most aquatics programming, allowing us to minimize the impact on members while continuing our commitment to providing a high-quality aquatics experience year-round.
Swim Options During the Closure
To help you stay active in the water during the Peck Aquatic Center closure, we’re offering swim access to JCC members at two local high school pools.
Whitefish Bay High School • 1200 E Fairmount Ave, Whitefish Bay
No pass required – just show your JCC key fob and photo ID at the door.
Swim Times for JCC Members:
- Monday-Thursday: 6:00-7:30 AM, 12:00-1:30 PM, 7:00-8:30 PM
- Friday: 6:00-7:30 AM, 12:00-1:30 PM
- Saturday & Sunday: 12:00-1:30 PM
Whitefish Bay High School pool will be closed Labor Day weekend.
Shorewood High School • 1701 E Capitol Dr, Shorewood
NEW OPTION! Exclusively for JCC members
To access the Shorewood pool, you’ll need to check out a pass in advance at the JCC Peck Welcome desk:
- Each individual needs their own pass (one per person).
- Passes are valid for up to 3 days and must be returned on time.
- A valid JCC membership is required.
- Passes include Shorewood contact info in case any issues arise during your visit.
- All users must follow Shorewood High School pool rules and guidelines.
Swim Times for JCC Members (Updated Times):
- Monday-Friday: Adult Swim (ages 18+) from 6:15-7:50 AM & 10:45 AM – 2:30 PM
- Saturday & Sunday: All Ages Swim from 2:00-4:00 PM, Lap Swim from 4:00-5:00 PM
Shorewood High School pool will be closed August 30-September 1.
Health Center Maintenance Updates
In addition to aquatic maintenance, routine work will also be performed in our Health Center during this time:
Women’s Health Center
- Shower area, steam room, and whirlpool closed: Sunday, August 17 at 7:00 PM
- Showers and steam room reopens: Friday, August 22 at 5:00 AM
- Whirlpool reopens: Saturday, August 23 at 8:00 AM
While the showers are closed, additional staff and amenities will be available in the Women’s General Locker Room during peak hours, including robes and standard shower products.
Men’s Health Center
- Whirlpool closed: Sunday, August 24 at 7:00 PM
- Whirlpool reopens: Friday, August 29 at 5:00 AM
The Men’s showers and steam rooms will remain open through maintenance.
