Gan Ami Early Childhood Education Awarded Renewed NAC Accreditation

If families are the soul of our Gan Ami Early Childhood Education program, then our educators are the heart. Educators at our Whitefish Bay and Mequon campuses create safe and inclusive environments for children to discover the joys of learning, and to explore the Jewish values of respect, charity, kindness, and repairing the world.
We are thrilled to share that The National Accreditation Commission for Early Care and Childhood Programs (NAC) has recognized the work of our educators and has awarded both campuses of Gan Ami – Mequon & Whitefish Bay – with Accreditation for a second time.
Gan Ami continues to be the only Jewish preschool in the area and the only preschool in Ozaukee County to be awarded NAC accreditation. Gan Ami is also rated by the State of Wisconsin as a Youngstar 5-star provider.
“Gan Ami’s educators live the JCC’s Mission every day by creating spaces, building opportunities, and inspiring Jewish moments for diverse communities. This renewed accreditation of our programs affirms our reputation as a destination for high quality educators committed to guiding our littlest learners as they discover the joy and wonder of the world around them,” said Karen Faust, Site Director of Gan Ami Mequon.
The reaccreditation process included a Self-Study in which administrators, staff, and Gan Ami parents evaluated the program in accordance with Accreditation Standards. Afterward, onsite observations were conducted at both campuses by an early childhood professional. The Commission made particular note of the strengths of our program in positive interactions and curriculum materials/activities.
This renewed accreditation not only recognizes the work of our educators, but it also continues to reaffirm Gan Ami’s reputation as a high-quality program providing professional development opportunities for staff and an environment for children conducive to their individual growth and development
“All of the parents, faculty, and leadership at both campuses of Gan Ami are to be congratulated for achieving this level of excellence once again,” said Mark Shapiro, President and Chief Executive Officer of the Harry & Rose Samson Family Jewish Community Center.
